Volunteering with scouts doesn’t have to mean working directly with the young people. We have many, varied and flexible roles that can be tailored to suit you. Your time and skills can make a difference in so many ways. Everyone can gain something from scouting!
Working in teams, you might:
- Get the best out of volunteers, using their people and leadership skills
- Spread the word about Scouts to attract new members
- Help with admin, fundraising, finances, operations or governance
- Keep everything running smoothly on the ground – from serving tea and coffee, helping to tidy up after meetings or sessions, driving or keeping meeting places in tip top condition
- Not sure how you’d like to help yet, don’t worry. We can chat you through a whole host of options – including flexible and occasional volunteering.
Trustee Board
Our Trustee Board are critical for the growth and good governance of the group. The scout association are also actively recruiting young trustees.
Hall Management
Our Hall Management Team ensure our scouts have a safe, practical and comfortable building to meet in.
Group Administration
If you can help us with administrative tasks, you can help free up leaders time to ensure our beavers, cubs and scouts have as many adventures as possible.
Grant Applications
We are always on the look out for grants that we can access to assist with building improvements, and capital spending. If you can help us with the applications we can spend more time planning activities for our young people.
