The Promise and Law
The Promise and Law are the simple way in which we help young people and adults to remember and think about the fundamentals of scouting. Every member considers the Promise and discusses its meaning with leaders and other young people before making the Promise and being invested into scouting
The Scout Promise
On my honour, I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God and to the Queen,
To help other people
And to keep the Scout Law
There are a number of variations of the Scout Promise to reflect the range of faiths, beliefs and attitudes, and nationalities, in the UK within scouting. The Scout Promise poster is available here.
