Volunteer as a Youth

Too old to join Beavers, Cubs or Scouts, but still want to take part?  Volunteering with our group as part of the Young Leaders Scheme can be a fantastic opportunity to gain leadership experience.  Joining the scheme allows you to :-

  • Continue to enjoy what Scouting offers by helping young people take part in adventures and exciting activities.
  • Enable you to undertake the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
  • Offers you the chance to experience how fun and rewarding being a leader in Scouting is before you turn 18.
  • Completing the Young Leader Scheme can allow you to gain your Wood Badge more quickly if you progress to adult leadership.
  • Participation in the scheme allow you to demonstrate dedication to others and other qualities that are attractive to employers or in further education.
  • Young Leaders’ Scheme awards and training modules can be included on CV’s and are recognised by many employers and count towards UCAS applications.

We’d love to hear from you if you’d like to help us provide scouting to the children in our area,  please complete the enquiry form below
